Xi Beta

Xi Beta is a newly formed chapter. Our current membership is comprised of 13 active members, ranging in age from late 20's to early 40's. Our members are single, married and married with children. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, meetings are held in members homes or special locations as decided by members programs. The first meeting of the month is a business meeting and the second meeting in the month is our program meeting. Each member throughout the year is responsible to present a program. The programs that are planned vary in style and format, usually lasting about 30 minutes which then allows time for socializing.

Why Consider Xi Beta?

As a new chapter, Xi Beta is looking for members with fresh ideas and a desire to make new friends. We are developing the traditions for our chapter as we go and we would love to have members with varied backgrounds to assist in that creativity. We are an active chapter of women who want to be involved and consider sorority a key part of their social lives whether you are single or married, a career women or stay at home mom we think Xi Beta is a great group to be part of!

Ways and Means

The purpose of this committees is to plan projects in which the chapter will raise funds for our operating costs. We enjoyed making and selling salsa as one of our first year projects.

Social Committee

The purpose of this committee is to plan and organize socials for our members to enjoy. Socials are a combination of just members and mixed socials which includes spouses or significant others. This year we have had a Beginning Day BBQ, a Christmas dinner and did a trip to the movies. We also planned a girls weekend away and had a prgression party just for the members and prospective members.

Service Committee

The purpose of this committee is to plan projects, which give back to the community. This year we participated in the Run for the Cure and volunteered at Operation Christmas Child.

Yearbook and Scrapbook Committee

This committee has two main functions. The first is to develop a Yearbook which contains all of the planned activities for the year, member profiles and other pertinent information for members. The second is to put together a scrapbook of photos & mementos documenting the chapter's year. It is presented to the outgoing president at beginning day.
