Kappa Master

About Us

Kappa Master Chapter was granted its charter in September, 1999. Kappa Master is a relatively small chapter with a wonderful mix of sisters - working girls and snowbirds; married, single, divorced and widowed; mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers. Five members are now "Torchbearers" and one sister has joined the Golden Circle, with several to follow. Plus we recently finished Pledge Training and welcomed a new Ritual of Jewels Member. We boast five former City Council Presidents and many others who have held Council Executive positions and committee chairs. Amongst us are two former Members Advisors and a member of the Advisory Board.

It was an exciting time for us when our suggestion to purchase half a Handi-Bus was accepted by the Service committee back in 2000. We are very proud that this tradition has been renewed in 2012.

We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday each month. Although we are firmly steeped in the traditions and obligations of our organization, we are at the point where we approach our Beta Sigma Phi life a bit more casually and focus on enjoying each other's friendships - there's always a belly laugh or two each time we're together. Our programs are an eclectic mix and cover a diverse range of interests. We always look forward to special outings and weekends away.

Not only are we very strong Beta Sigma Phi members, but we are also very strong friends. The best combination there can be.
