Laureate Alpha Gamma
Laureate Alpha Gamma is a "semi-career" chapter currently comprised of 18 fun-loving sociable members. We endeavour to enjoy the friendship, social, and cultural aspects of Beta Sigma Phi with minimal work and maximum FUN.
Meetings:
7 pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, September to May.
Style: 1 Business Meeting - usually downtown at McDougall Centre 1 Program Meeting - usually in a home or at a program venue. Meetings are always followed by light lunch and SOCIALIZING.
Activities & Socials:
Members: Get-away weekend or day, Beginning Day, Christmas dinner, cultural events, Birthday Lunch Brunch (monthly or bi-monthly).
Mixed: Year-end BBQ, Christmas Brunch, and other activities as proposed by the Social Committee such as Halloween party, wine-tasting, progressive dinner, Fed-up Fridays, and other fun activities.
Ways and Means:
Projects as proposed by the Ways & Means Committee. We try to minimize the amount of work needed to raise sufficient operating funds.
Service:
While we are not a service organization and this is not our primary focus, our small projects usually involve a combination of donations of time and money.
Council:
Calgary Area City Council citywide functions: Fall Ritual, Founder's Day, Progression Night - all optional.
Chapter Dues: $35/year
